Update - 8/28/2017:
Grrr. I was editing a short video yesterday and Studio 21 froze. I could access the media in the project bin but the timeline was *completely* unresponsive. I shut the program down, restarted and it was *still* frozen. I had to reboot W10 to bring Studio 21 back to life. And the 3D title editor crashed. Sigh. Downgrade four stars to three. (Side note - I am not overclocking the motherboard.)

Update - 8/27/2017:
Well, it finally happened - a crash but I think I know why. I was getting a little low (~50 Gb) on the SSD drive where I run Pinnacle, I moved a bunch of raw video to another drive and edited another video with no drama - Pinnacle was very happy as was I. :-)
I'm getting more familiar with the user interface and I'm liking it more and more, editing controls are fairly intuitive and logical.

I started non-linear video editing many years ago with Adobe Premiere and moved on to Pinnacle, Corel, Sony, etc. all of which had one common feature - they were all buggy and would crash once in a while. Very frustrating.
So I took a chance with this latest Pinnacle Studio 21 release (download) and after editing one video, it's stable (and still running on my PC.) I'm not going to go into any details about the user interface or features, there's plenty of reviews out there to read/watch. Basically I found the UI fairly intuitive and with little help I was editing video. Did I mention release 21 is stable? :-)
Rendering was super fast, about one minute for each minute of video (1920 x 1080, 30 fps) but I have a fast machine. Rendering consumed 92% of the CPU and 8.1 Gb of 32 Gb of RAM was used.
